Recently I’ve been delving through the hell that is house cleaning, and I’ve come to realise that duties like this need to be delegated and written out in advance so that things don’t get as bad as they were. We have a white board for the kitchen, but it doesn’t seem to be as versatile as, say, bulletin boards.
While white boards let you write the random word or two down, you get stuck with that dingy board after a while because of a lack of proper cleaning and the like– ours looks like its been eating black cat peeps all day long, and sometimes won’t even erase properly.
But I get the feeling that, with a bulletin board I’d be much more likely to post things up. Like reminders to the Marine in the house to take his medicine, or reminding my boyfriend to put some water in the fridge– or even reminders to everyone to wipe up messes that they make, as they make them, as to avoid turmoil like we have right now.
I actually have this insane want for cork bulletin boards for the kitchen and bathroom, so I can tack up coupons or some other such things for people to remember, and it honestly makes me wonder if life wouldn’t be easier with a little more organisation and thought.
