Watch Obsession

Sometimes I think my family’s obsession with watches goes a bit too far, but I have to admit there’s something all too appealing about a nice watch that makes you want to have a handful of them for every occasion. After talking to my mom this Holiday season I found out her and my father both got a multitude of watches as gifts, including Invicta watches , which are ridiculously nice and high quality watches that have fashion appeal as well as telling the time.
I honestly think that watches add something to an outfit that a cell phone can’t touch– yes, it’s nice that your cell phone tells time and can instruct you on where to go, but it doesn’t add any beauty to your outfit– It’s just a rectangular object that you whip out at inappropriate times and make everyone feel awkward. When you glance at your watch to check the time its as easy to pass over as a sneeze and honestly, some people might end up asking you about your watch, where you got it, how much it cost (tacky, but it happens) and where they can get one just like it~ It’s a conversation starter instead of an awkward moment in which everyone thinks you’re about to text what a terrible time you’re having.
Nothing beats a watch as a present, and I hope I can get my father one soon– hopefully one he doesn’t already have, the man is watch obsessed.
