Racism?

There was a recent article posted around the web about how Tiny Tina, as a character, was racist. Anthony Burch began by saying he wouldn’t change her and didn’t find her racist because he knew people who were like that, and then he got guilt tripped into saying that if enough people were upset about it, that he’d end up changing her dialogue in future games.

The last thing I want to be is exclusionary or prejudiced, so if Tina truly is problematic I’ll change her.

I don’t know how the fuck we got from a girl who, for all intents and purposes, is batshit crazy using language that isn’t exactly coherent or intentional being problematic, but no one took the time to point out the stereotyping of Irish people as drunks or the fact that there’s a goddamn leprechaun protecting gold at the end of one of that line of quests. Oh, it’s also okay to be incestuous and portray all people who are somewhat rednecky as cousin fucking idiots. No no, that’s fine, but you better not use ‘black lingo’.

Isn’t it more racist to say a certain phrase is ‘too black’ and ‘racist’ than it is to just let something go as a joke? She’s not ‘wearing virtual black face’ as someone said, it’s literally just a girl who is far beyond crazy acting a bit out of sorts and using words she feels comfortable with.

You find a girl IRL who says crunk after watching her parents get murdered and slap her on the hand and say YOU ARE BEING RACIST, MISS TINA, HOW DARE YOU SAY SUCH THINGS, I SEE YOU JUDGING BLACK PEOPLE WITH YOUR WORDS. Have fun with that.

Getting annoyed again so gonna cut that short.
